The door locks were installed on front, garage and laundry access points. Deadlocks will be added once we are in the house by a local locksmith.
The frame for the cavity sliding doors to the theatre were also installed today. The merbau post on the front porch also erected.
Electricians had also been back to continue some of their work. Finally the whole house had been swept out (I assume so that the floor is clean to accept wall insulation without attached debris)

More little but very important things
After my inspection today we have front, garage and laundry access doors, 95% eaves are done and the coax for TV is installed. Electricians have also punched through some of the cables for external light fittings.
Wall insulation to be installed later this week with gyprock to be done next week.
I also moved 200 leftover bricks to re-use later on for a letterbox and perhaps a BBQ - with a few hundred left to do over the coming weeks.

Roof complete (and a couple of other jobs)
Today saw the last parts of the roof, guttering and fascia installed. The plumber was on site yesterday installing all town and recycled water points both inside and out. He also installed the three gas outlets.
The plumber had a query about the placement of one of the shower heads in the ensuite and was thoughtful enough to ring through to the builder who then rang me for the final decision. He could have easily installed the shower where he thought was best, but took the time to contact me through the builder.
Late this afternoon another contractor was onsite filling the expansion joints with flexible sealer. While on my walk-through I also noticed measurement and notes had been written on much of the wall frames. I believe it to be code/instructions for the installation of gyprock.

Bricklayers all done
The bricklayers finished up today - finished off above garage door and all window sills. The roofers have set up ready for tomorrow when fascia and gutters will be installed. I have been contacted by our site manager who informed that roof should be installed Thursday and Friday this week (weather permitting).

We have walls!
The bricklayers should finish on Monday with only windows to be finished up and along the top of the garage door. The mammoth task of salvaging any leftover bricks should start next week with me and my wheelbarrow.
Gutters and fascias have been delivered as well.

Up and Running Again
The bricklayers started back last week. 1/3 of the house is now bricked up. There was a mix up about which brick to use for the feature stack. Unfortunately it did mean that the half built stack needed to knocked down and started again.
We are really happy with the brick choices.

The New Year
Obviously nothing happening on site at the moment, so I thought I would pull together all the colours, landscaping, floorcoverings etc into an artboard. It has really helped seeing everything on one page - makes comparisons much easier.
